2023 showed unprecedented growth in the tourism industry in Kazakhstan.
For the first time in the history of Independent Kazakhstan, almost 1 million foreign tourists visited the country. Of these, almost half a million tourists visited the southern capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty.
Let's briefly understand why a boom in international tourism began in Kazakhstan. “Incredible Kazakhstan” LLP, being an official licensed tour operator, believes that there are several objective reasons for this phenomenon:
- The active work of the President of the country K. Tokayev as a professional diplomat and the Government of the country as a whole on the introduction of a visa-free regime served as a sharp impetus for the arrival of foreign tourists to the country, both from neighboring countries and tourists from very distant countries;
- Fantastically beautiful nature of Kazakhstan, with almost all types of landscape: Tien Shan and Altai mountains, the world's largest lake - the Caspian Sea, deserts, ancient mountains, the world famous Sharyn Canyon, mountain lakes, wild mountain rivers, a large number of National Natural Parks and nature reserves, impenetrable forests, the availability of both wild tourism and tourism with developed services;
- The world famous city of Almaty as a center of attraction for tourists. Almaty is the southern capital of Kazakhstan and attracts tourists from all over the world with its spiritual beauty, green parks, and closeness to nature: Almaty is surrounded on several sides by natural reserves. You drive away from the city and after 10 minutes you are already in the territory of the National Park, where wild animals live. And in the evening you can go and have a great rest in urban locations, because Almaty is not just a city in the mountains, but also a highly developed, large city with all the modern services for civilized tourism.
- The presence of several current and promising natural sites of UNESCO World Heritage Sites that attract tourists from all over the world;
- Availability of highly developed mountain resorts, including ski resorts. For example, the Lesnaya Skazka and Shymbulak resorts are very popular among foreigners;
- Interesting, hearty national cuisine of the Kazakhs as a nomadic people. Many foreigners enjoy trying Kazakh cuisine.
- Gradually improving service in the field of civilized tourism.
- Possibility of other types of recreation in the wild: mountain trekking, climbing mountain peaks (mountain climbing, sports tourism), fishing, jeep tours.
We think that every year the number of foreign tourists in Kazakhstan will grow. Why? Because we really have a lot to show you...
